Located in a historic building that once housed the Institute of Zoology of Bordeaux, Hotel La Zoologie is a remarkable testimony to early 20th-century architecture. Built between 1900 and 1903 according to the vision of architect Ernest Lacombe, it was reimagined to become one of Bordeaux’s most surprising luxury boutique hotels.
La Zoologie has preserved its original stones, bricks, and metal structure, along with its large glass roofs that invite the outdoors to blend with the scientific atmosphere of the site. With the addition of three wings and an interior garden, the building has become a luxury hotel with unusual charm.
